Business
Process Management (BPM)
Silico improves business process management, which focuses

AS9100 Consulting Service
Silico assists aerospace suppliers in AS9100 quality management system (QMS) development with both an AS9100 Implementation Program and an AS9100 Maintenance Program. When organizations go it alone, it can take up to two years. But with the Silico, it can be done in months.
The AS9100 Implementation Program includes:
- AS9100 Overview, describing QMS and registration requirements.
- Gap Analysis, in which Silico compares the aerospace supplier's
current QMS, if any, to AS9100 requirements, identifies nonconformities
and recommends actions to achieve conformity.
- Quality Manual Development, creating a document that describes QMS policy,
procedures, requirements, goals and structures.
- Registrar Liaison, contacting an accredited third-party firm that audits
the QMS, its documentation and implementation for AS9100 and ISO 9000
registration.
- Management Representative
Selection, assisting in choosing the
person with day-to-day responsibility for QMS development and
implementation, as well as liaison between management and the registrar.
- Procedures Implementation, ensuring conformity to AS9100.
- Internal Audit Assistance, to monitor implementation for conformity to AS9100.
- Corrective Action Assistance, to eliminate nonconformities found during internal
audits.
- Pre-assessment of QMS implementation to prepare for the registration
audit.
- Consulting during the Registration Audit of the QMS, facilities, records and other documentation.
Once AS9100 and registration has been achieved, the quality management system must be maintained. The AS9100 Maintenance Program can perform this work in a cost-effective and efficient manner, tailored to fit the client's needs.
The AS9100 Maintenance Program may include:
- Internal Audits, which are a crucial component in QMS checks and
balances, for discovering a major nonconformity during an internal audit
can prevent registration from being revoked during the subsequent
surveillance audit. Silico can conduct internal audits twice a year in a
professional, efficient and even-handed manner.
