Strategic Error Proofing: Achieving Success Every Time with Smarter FMEAs

Tuesday, February 8, 2011
2:00 PM to 3:00 PM EDT

Quality is a requirement for doing business.  One of the core building blocks is Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) where risk of failure is quantified and prioritized.  PFMEA’s have served us well, but the pressure for cost control and speed place constraints on engineers, preventing them from addressing all risks appropriately.

On the opposite side of the coin is success.  Operators across the globe succeed “most of the time” and need tools and devices that can notice the rare occasion where their actions are not exact and a defect is produced.  The strategic error proofing system drives tools and devices into the production operation to help the operator have Success Every Time.

Webinar Learning Objectives:

1. FMEA’s have hit a point of diminishing returns and need a complimentary tool to focus on success

2. Error Proofing can be systematically  driven into a production process

3. Robustness of an operation can be measured with a repeatable scoring system

4. Seek “Success Every Time” as a strategic advantage over risk prioritization and reduction

Target Audience:
Global Manufacturing professionals interested in quality engineering and profitability; relevant to engineers and to executives.
